When I was a kid I used to use my brain to study, study, and read. I took a few classes that I didn’t have enough time to complete. Then I went to a science club and I read a lot. I remember thinking: How many years is this? How long is this? The brain is so fast, you can’t even read it, even if you have a paper.
A few years ago, my father sent me a text book. It’s a good read, and I’m glad I did.
Barnes and Noble has a book with the same title. It’s called The Noble and the Almighty. The Noble and the Almighty by John Barnes (1812 – 1892). In this book the author discusses the problems of the brain and the mind, and how they can be overcome. The Noble and the Almighty contains a chapter about the brain and how it deteriorates from the inside out.
It’s a bit of a shame that nobody reads it. For some reason, it seems to have been designed to be read in a way that no one ever has read in the first place. The title doesn’t make any sense to me. It’s a lot of information. But what does it say about the brain that it’s a little stupid? It’s a huge waste of time.
Well, no, I’m not getting that impression. Its pretty solid stuff. It covers a lot of the same topics that we covered in the other books. It also touches upon some of the more boring issues in the brain, like learning how to ride a bike or how to drive a car, and a chapter on our own minds: how we think. It’s a shame we never read it, because it’s so well written.
