Lemoyne College is one of the oldest colleges in the nation. Founded in 1857, the college was the first in the country to offer a two-year college course (instead of a four-year), and is recognized as a Tier IV Tier school (the highest ranking possible) on the U.S. News & World Report’s Tier II list of America’s Best Colleges. Lemoyne College is also a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
The new lemoyne college program is based on the “College of the future” concept that’s prevalent in Silicon Valley. With the new program, students are able to take courses from anywhere in the United States, including Lemoyne College, and complete courses at the college of their choice. The program is set to begin fall semester 2015.
And we’re pretty stoked about that. Lemoyne College is the type of school that you could spend your entire life in. It is a college of choice. It is a college that you can choose. We like the idea of the College of the future concept, so it’s nice to see it come to fruition.
You could go into the college and get a degree in what it does best and then get a job that offers flexible hours, or you could go into the College of the future and learn from the best. The college of the future is an idea that’s been around for a while, but in Lemoyne it’s a definite. So that’s nice to see Lemoyne come to life.
