A few years ago my girlfriend of a friend of mine gave me a small gift for doing the math on my car that I had started a year early. She was the smartest woman in the world, I think. It sounds like the story of the russian spy needs a little more action in it to make it as interesting as it could be. It sounds like it needs to be some sort of russian-ish spy story, not an action russian-ish spy story. That last sentence is the most important part of the whole thing. If the story is a russian-ish spy story it can be easy to get this guy killed.

The action shouldn’t be just about the russian spy, it should be about how he gets himself into situations that threaten his life, and how he manages to escape the situations.
